  • Do you accept insurance?
BluWillo Precision Medicine is an out of network provider and has opted out of Medicare. This means we do not accept insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. Payment is due at the time of scheduling via credit card, HSA/FSA card. Patients can be given a receipt that clearly identifies the appropriate service codes (CPT) and diagnostic codes (ICD-10) that they can send into their insurance company for possible reimbursement based on their individual insurance coverage and deductible. There may be services provided that do not carry a CPT code. You can use the company Reimbursify to help you file out-of- network claims to your insurance provider for faster reimbursement. Some blood work ordered through LabCorp can be billed directly to your insurance by the lab company. Typically specialty lab tests are not covered by insurance.
  • What is your cancellation policy?
We prefer 48 hour notice (in order to be able to fill your time slot from our wait list) but we require 24 hour notice. All last minute or same day cancellations will be billed at 50% of the visit fee. If you do not show up for your scheduled appointment you will be charged the full appointment fee.
  • How do labs work? Are they covered by insurance?
Bloodwork ordered through Functional Medicine visits can be coded and billed through your insurance for LabCorp labs. We use Rupa Health for all our cash pay labs, including cash pay for LabCorp or all specialty labs. For Functional Medicine patients we can enter billing codes for your Rupa Health labs which will generate a Super Bill for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement purposes. For our cash pay labs we use Rupa Health for several reasons. One is that you can set up a payment plan through Rupa, which often makes purchasing labs more affordable. The other is that Rupa Health works hard to negotiate the lowest pricing for high quality specialty labs and they pass this savings on to you. You are able to order your own specialty lab testing right through our Rupa Health Labshop - no visit required. When it comes to insurance billed labs, we always want to be very clear that your lab co-pay will vary based on your insurance company's negotiated rates, allowable CPT codes and your deductible. We can not predict if your lab fees will be covered by your insurance company.
  • What is your scheduling policy?
We require all online questionnaires to be completed at least 48 hours prior to your initial consultation, therefore we require at least 72 hour notice to schedule your initial appointment. This allows you time to complete your online questionnaires thoroughly, especially your medical history questionnaires. Follow up appointments will be scheduled based on the first available appointment, per your request.
  • Should I schedule a Functional Medicine or Wellness Consultation?
To establish care as a Functional Medicine patient, you must reside in the states of Georgia or Minnesota, where Gina is licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner. As a Functional Medicine patient, Gina will need to see you in person annually and she will be able to prescribe medications, submit some of your bloodwork through insurance and order imaging studies if indicated as part of your care. Wellness Consultations are available to anyone, anywhere. Wellness Consultations provide you with an opportunity to meet with Gina one on one for educational purposes and lifestyle recommendations. You may want to ask questions about your current symptoms, review previous lab results or try to determine which specialty tests may be right for you. Whether Functional Medicine or Wellness focused, Gina's approach to helping you take control of your health is always the same. Her goal is to assist you in developing a personalized lifestyle plan. Her primary focus is to educate you on how to connect the dots between your symptoms, genetic predispositions, current lab results and imbalances.
  • Is lab testing included in my Initial Consultation fee?
No. Since all labs are ordered based on each individual's personal story or medical history, we are not able to create lab bundles or include lab charges in these visits. We make every effort to order labs that can be billed through insurance. We also recommend functional wellness testing or advanced lab testing which is often cash pay. We have negotiated provider pricing for many of these labs and offer them for the lowest possible fee. All lab charges are discussed with you prior to moving forward with testing. Co-pays will apply for insurance based labs, and these charges will vary based on your health plan.
  • Are there any additional fees for services provided outside my appointment fees?
Yes, there are individual fees associated with services provided outside of your scheduled appointment. These services could include, but are not limited to referral letters, letters of medical necessity, workplace accommodation forms, prior authorizations and utilizing insurance benefits for lab orders. Fee-for-service patients are billed for these services on an individual basis. These services are included as a part of the monthly membership fee, thus there is no additional charge to members for these services.
  • Can I use my HSA/FSA account to pay for my care?
Yes! You can use your HSA or FSA for your Functional Medicine care with us! You may also be able to get some of your visit cost covered as an out of network provider with your health insurance. We provide a superbill for your clinic services/visits that you can submit to your health insurance for reimbursement. Wellness Consultations will likely not be covered by your HSA/FSA accounts.
